Mawney Foundation School in Mawney Road was visited by the education watchdog in May and the finds were published on June 25.
The school was deemed ‘good’ in all five categories of quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision.
Inspectors said: “The school has high ambitions for what pupils can achieve and how they should conduct themselves.
“Pupils flourish at this caring and welcoming school and they understand and demonstrate the importance of treating others with respect, regardless of their differences.”
As well as the positive behaviour of pupils, Ofsted noted the school’s “ambitious” curriculum.

In many subjects, Ofsted said teachers model precise language and use questioning successfully to check understanding before moving on to new content.
The report also credited the school’s approach to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
It said pupils were “accurately identified and supported” and information about how to support these pupils was “shared effectively” with teachers.
This means that pupils with SEND are “supported well to learn and progress through the same curriculum as their peers”.

Headteacher Mandy Lawrence said: “We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which highlights the strengths of our school and reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion shown by everyone in our school community.
“This positive report is a testament to the commitment of our staff, the enthusiasm and behaviour of our pupils, the support from our parents and carers (with 100 per cent of survey responders stating they feel their children are safe in school), and the guidance and contributions provided by our governors.
“They have all played a vital role in achieving this result, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to them all.
“We are proud that the inspectors saw what we see every day – a vibrant, happy, and ambitious school community.
“The inspectors also noted in our feedback and report that our school has the same high ambition for all pupils.
“While we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to continuing our journey of improvement and ensuring the very best outcomes and support for all of our children.”
