Ruben Amorim’s side have been on somewhat of a resurgence in recent weeks after their dismal start to the season, and they are now five games unbeaten since their 3-1 defeat by Brentford back in September.
The Red Devils are winless in their last two outings, however, needing late equalisers from Amad Diallo and Matthijs de Ligt in 2-2 draws against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham respectively.
David Moyes, meanwhile, has stabilised Everton this season, recruiting smartly with the signings of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Manchester City and Chelsea respectively in the summer.
The Merseysiders were victorious in their last game before the international break, beating Fulham 2-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to follow a respectable 1-1 draw at high-flying Sunderland.

Benjamin Sesko will not be available for United against Everton because of a knee injury sustained in the draw at Spurs.
Harry Maguire also picked up a knock in north London and will play no part on Monday night having failed to recover in time.
In more positive news, there could be a return to the matchday squad for Lisandro Martinez, who was allowed to train with Argentina as he nears the end of his spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury.
As for Everton, Jarrad Branthwaite – formerly a transfer target for United – is sidelined as he continues to recover from a thigh injury which could see him out until the New Year.
Summer signing Merlin Rohl has been ruled out after undergoing a minor operation on a hernia issue. Nathan Patterson is also unavailable for selection due to foot and groin problems.

United are beginning to look like a well-oiled machine in Amorim’s system now, with players beginning to understand their roles and the patterns of play they are being asked to implement.
Sesko will be a big miss with his presence up top, while they will look really depleted in attack if Cunha is ruled out too.
That might work in United’s favour, however, with the Red Devils looking better going forward without Sesko on the field than they did with him against Spurs.
That said, Everton are a tough nut to crack, but the hosts should have enough star power here.
