Ruben Amorim’s side are coming off their worst top-flight season since relegation in 1973-74 after finishing 15th last season.
However, United have already back their manager with the £62million signing of Matheus Cunha, who will aim to bolster an attack that scored an underwhelming 44 goals last season. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike are also of interest.
So, it is a tough start for the Red Devils, who then face Fulham and Brentford before a trip to Manchester City in the derby Manchester derby. They meet Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea in September, and again in April, and they travel to take on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in January. United take on rivals Liverpool in October and May.
The busy Christmas period will see United take on Aston Villa, Newcastle and Wolves before seeing in the New Year away at Leeds. The season concludes at Brighton.
