The award places The Larder ahead of some of the capital’s top delicatessens, including Valentina Delicatessen in East Sheen, Oren Delicatessen in London Fields, Giacobazzi’s in Hampstead, and Stokey’s Delicatessen in Stoke Newington.

Located on Ladywell Road, The Larder was founded in April 2014 by two local food enthusiasts, Katherine and Cynthia, who met during nursery pick-ups and bonded over a shared love of good food and community.
Since late 2019, Cynthia has run the deli as sole owner, continuing to develop their original vision.
Over the past decade, The Larder has become a fixture in the Lewisham community, known for its curated range of cheeses, charcuterie, craft beers, wines, and pantry staples.
It champions local and London-based producers, with stock including Brockley Brewery beers, Catford Honey and Lewisham Gin.
