Kids Inc expected to make £5,000 for the Dream Factory charity — but more than doubled their target to generate £10,600.
“This wonderful charity does amazing work,” nursery publicist Alisha Patel said. “The money gives memorable experiences to children facing challenging circumstances.”
The Dream Factory has helped 750 young people and their families over the last 17 years.
But it faces crisis in the current economic climate and is “at risk of being unable to continue” without public support.
It has 40 ‘dreams’ on its waiting list.
Its founder Avril Mills said: “There are so many poorly children who need dreams come true but it needs funds, so we’re grateful to the nursery.”
