Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 9.10am this morning (March 7) with reports of the crash on Katherine Road.
They were dispatched to the scene with colleagues from the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service, where they discovered a single car had left the road.
The car crashed into a food superstore, which has since been assessed to be in a safe condition.
There were no injuries reported in connection to the incident.
The driver of the car is now assisting police with their investigation.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.08am today (Friday 7 March) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Malvern Road and Katherine Road, East Ham.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
“We assessed a man before discharging him at the scene.”
