Rangers have gotten the better of their fierce rivals in the last three meetings between the two sides, including a 3-0 win at Ibrox to begin 2025 in impressive fashion.
However, the pressure is firmly on new head coach Russell Martin as he prepares to sample an Old Firm derby for the first time.
His side are yet to win in the Scottish Premiership this season, drawing all three fixtures so far and were beaten 9-1 on aggregate by Club Brugge in their Champions League play-off earlier in the week.
As for Celtic, they too failed to qualify for the league phase of the Champions League having lost to Kairat on penalties.
That said, Brendan Rodgers side have made a perfect start to the domestic campaign, winning all three games without conceding and will be aiming to record a victory away at Rangers for the first time since 2023.
