England take on the Netherlands at a crucial point in their Women’s European Championships title defence.
The Lionesses, who famously ended England’s 56-year wait for a major international trophy back in 2022, were beaten 2-1 by France in their opening group game in Zurich.
Sarina Wiegman’s side are embarking on a new era – with seven major-tournament debutants in the squad – but that new era was brought crashing back down to earth on matchday one when Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Sandy Baltimore’s goals were enough to give Les Bleues the three points, despite Keira Walsh’s late goal.
Now, the holders will need to be at their best to get their campaign back on track, and they take on a Dutch side who thrashed Wales 3-0 in Luzern, with Manchester City strker Viv Miedema among the goalscorers.
England take on Wales in their final group game on Sunday, July 13.
