The light-heavyweight is a rising star in his division, and has just signed to Eddie Hearn’s promotion after claiming the IBF International light-heavyweight title back in June last year.
Now, he fights for the WBC Silver light-heavyweight belt against the German Gavazi, who is 19 unbeaten.
Whittaker is a heavy favourite despite his opponent’s impressive run, and he will be out to make statement as he prepares for a big 2026.
Whittaker, 28, won silver at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and is 9-1 in his professional career, with the only blemish on his record being a draw against Liam Cameron in October last year.
He made amends in April this year, stopping his arch-rival in the second round at the bp pulse Live in Birmingham.
