Team GB and Olympics star Keely Hodgkinson is the favourite after claiming 800m gold in Paris earlier this year.
Teenage darts star Luke Litter, meanwhile, is seen as Hodgkinson’s main rival after a meteoric rise over the past 12 months or so.
Joe Root, Jude Bellingham, Sarah Stoney and Alex Yee are also in contention.
The winner will be decided by a public vote and will be announced at tonight’s ceremony in Salford, Greater Manchester.
