While contestants in the regular version of the show attempt to win up to £120,000 for themselves, the celebrity series sees the faithfuls and traitors battle it out to snag the prize money for their chosen charity.

Discussing the subject, Marina Hyde and Richard Osman, appearing on their podcast The Rest Is Entertainment, revealed that all the celebrities are paid a £40,000 fee to appear.
Hyde said: “It’s certainly interesting to compare something like Celebrity Traitors on the BBC to I’m a Celebrity on ITV.
“Although we haven’t seen the celebrity iteration yet, we know it’s going to be massive.
“Look at the calibre of the people they got. They were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee, right? They’re paying them a 40k fee.”
Celebrity Traitors 2025 starts on Wednesday, October 8, at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
