IndiGo will begin flights between Delhi and London Heathrow from Monday, February 2, 2026 in a move that further strengthens its international offering.
The airline will operate five services each week using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The new route will increase IndiGo’s total flights to London to 12 per week, adding to its existing daily service from Mumbai to Heathrow.
This comes as Heathrow prepares for another busy year, having closed 2025 with record-breaking performance.
Passenger numbers for the year surpassed 84 million for the first time, with almost 7.2 million travellers passing through the airport in December.
The airport also experienced its busiest day ever on Friday, August 1, when passenger numbers topped 270,000.
Heathrow retained its title as Europe’s most punctual hub airport in December, with more than 97 per cent of passengers clearing security in under five minutes.
Baggage performance improved as well, with a load rate of more than 98 per cent in 2025.
This meant an additional 250,000 bags reached their intended flights compared to 2024.
