Jason Diur Kota, 29, and Denzican Karadag, 28, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday (March 5) accused of murdering Joel Bempah-Cumberbatch in Wood Green.
On August 30, 2016, Bempah-Cumberbatch, 25, was shot on Turnpike Lane in Wood Green at around 3:22pm.
He was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his head.
His injuries left him with significant brain damage and on September 20, 2022, he died.
In 2017, Kota and Karadag were sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 13 years after they were convicted of attempted murder.
Detectives within Specialist Crime North submitted a further file to the Crown Prosecution Service and on March 3 the two men appeared at Highbury Magistrates Court to face the murder charges.
A trial is set to begin on February 16, 2026 and Kota and Karadag, 28 will next appear at the Old Bailey on May 21, 2025.
