The victim reported seeing two masked suspects attempting to gain entry to their home in Great Warley just before midnight yesterday evening (April 11).
Police have said that the suspects were not able to enter the home, which is in the Warley Road and Beredens Lane area, and that no injuries were sustained in the incident.
Officers are working to determine whether one of the suspects was armed with a weapon.
A police spokesperson said that no arrests had been made, adding that the attempted burglary investigation was following “a number of targeted lines of enquiry” .
Police have also appealed for anyone who was in the area, or has dashcam or CCTV footage, between 10pm and midnight to come forward, especially if they noticed any suspicious activity.
