Gallows Corner traffic and heat delay Havering rubbish collection

Havering Council posted on Facebook this morning (July 1) to address delays to waste collection.

The post said: “There are delays to waste collection due to the hot weather and high volumes of traffic caused by the Gallows Corner closure.

“Please keep your waste out for collection, as any missed streets will be collected the next day.

“Apologies for any inconvenience.”

The council released a full list of roads on its website that that had missed bin collections yesterday (June 30).

If your road is listed, the council ask that you leave your waste out to be collected the next working day.

Collection crews work Monday to Saturday so waste missed on a Friday can be put out on a Saturday according to the website.

A Havering Council spokesperson said: “We are experiencing delays to waste collections due to the extremely hot weather and high volumes of traffic caused by the Gallows Corner closure.

“Crews are working to keep on track, but we are advising residents to keep their waste out for collection, as any missed streets will be collected the next day.

“We apologise for any inconvenience, and ask residents to please remain patient as crews work through any outstanding backlog.”

Orange and black sack missed collections:

Ferndale Road, Saffron Road, Pennington Close, Wensley Close, Owen Close, Westwode Close.

Garden waste missed collections:

Amberley Way, Birch Close, Birch Road, Burleigh Close, Cross Road, Epping Close, Essex Close, Essex Road, Forest Road, Marlborough Road, Mawney Close, Silver Way, Braddock Close, Burland Road, Felstead Road, Gabriel Close, Hillrise Road, Mount Pleasant Road, Hawkhurst Gardens, Hendon Gardens, Highfield Close, Highfield Link, Highfield Road, Wilton Drive.

Flats waste missed collections:
