Aerial shots over the major project taken today (December 2) have captured the most recent headway made to the reconstruction of the flyover.
A significant level of activity has been seen across the site, including in Southend Arterial Road.

Since the roundabout and surrounding roads were fully closed to motorists in June and the former flyover was deconstructed, Transport for London (TfL) has been reinstalling the flyover in segments from Eastern Avenue East.
More than five months later, the flyover has yet to be completed i1n Southend Arterial Road where today a large ground drill has been spotted.

Workers believed to be from geotechnics and foundation engineering specialists, Bachy Soletanche, have been seen working on the ground.
It appears that work is being conducted to level out this section of foundation, with a cement mixer visible alongside two diggers.

Further along Southend Arterial Road, a large crane has been brought onto the site near what could be the early beginnings of the other end of the flyover ramp.
Gaps that were first spotted on the incomplete flyover structure on November 16 are still present back towards Eastern Avenue East by the Wax On car wash.

Two segments remain missing and can be seen laid on the side of the road.
It is unclear why they have been removed.
TfL is now working to a spring 2026 deadline for the completion of Gallows Corner, which will be undertaken in phases.
