Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Ford Road by colleagues from the London Ambulance Service at 4.30pm today (February 27).
At the scene, it was confirmed that a car had been involved in a crash with a child.
The child’s injuries have been described as minor.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “”Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 16:30hrs on Thursday, 27 February to reports of a car in collision with a child on Ford Road in Dagenham.
“Officers attended. The child suffered minor injuries.”
The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
