This was confirmed by Epping Forest District Council, which has seen a wave of planning applications over the past two weeks.
New housing projects include the demolition of current buildings at Tile Hill Farm, Pynest Green Lane, Waltham Abbey, for four new homes (ref: EPF/1139/25).
An application has also been made for two semi-detached self-build homes at 2 Kensington Park, Stapleford Abbotts (ref: EPF/1275/25).
At Blossom House, Stanford Rivers, technical approvals are being pursued for a previously approved detached replacement dwelling (ref: EPF/1005/25).
There has also been a rise in applications for residential conversions into care settings.
A lawful development certificate is being sought for 49 Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey, to allow for the home’s use for care purposes (ref: EPF/1295/25).
A similar proposal has been made for 23 Princesfield Road, Waltham Abbey, to accommodate three children receiving care (ref: EPF/1293/25).
Applications remain strong for upgrades to private homes, including ground and first-floor extensions at 75 Barfields, Loughton (ref: EPF/1233/25), a full ground floor wraparound at 72 Alderton Hall Lane, Loughton (ref: EPF/1146/25), and a rear dormer loft conversion at 36 Highbridge Street, Waltham Abbey (ref: EPF/1272/25).
In Buckhurst Hill, 34 Stag Lane has submitted an application for a proposed dormer and rooflights (ref: EPF/1291/25), and 56 Epping Road, Stanford Rivers, is looking to build an additional storey over a bungalow (ref: EPF/1282/25).
Demolition and rebuild applications include 112 Old Nazeing Road, Nazeing, where a store and single-storey side extension are to be demolished for a two-storey addition (ref: EPF/1226/25), and 62 Wellfields, Loughton, for a two-storey rear and side extension (ref: EPF/1249/25).
Heritage and listed building works are also being considered, with 41 Berwick Lane, Stanford Rivers, seeking listed building consent for a rear extension and internal remodelling for a property that is Grade II-listed. (ref: EPF/1314/25).
The Livingstone Cottages in Ongar are applying for listed building consent for external fabric and joinery restoration (ref: EPF/1253/25), and 90 High Street, Ongar, is seeking approval for window replacements on a listed building (ref: EPF/1279/25).
