Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been left out of the India XI for the second Test against England at Edgbaston.
He is replaced by fellow fast bowler Akash Deep.
There are two other changes from the team named in the first Test, with Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar coming in for Sai Sudharsan and Shardul Thakur.
Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav both miss out.
Bumrah is considered by many to be the best bowler in the world, but suffered a back injury in a Test match against Australia in January and needs to manage his minutes.
He is expected to feature in three matches of the five-Test series.
Bumrah featured in last week’s Test opener at Headingly, which England won.
Speaking ahead of the Test, India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate confirmed that he was ‘available’.
“Obviously we know from the start he’s only going to play three out of the five [Tests], he’s obviously had eight days to recover from the last Test,” the Dutchman told Sky Sports.
“Given conditions and workload, and how we think we can best manage the next four games, we haven’t made a call on that. We’re going to see where the other guys are with their workload as well.”
But he kept his cards close to his chest when asked whether the 31-year-old could feature: “So technically, yes, he is available, but we haven’t made a decision on whether he’s going to play or not yet.
“If we feel like there’s value in playing him in this Test, we’ll make that call at the very last minute.”
England won the toss and will bowl first at Edgbaston.
