Lee Carsley’s side have, impressively, seen off Spain and the Netherlands in the knockout stages en route to the final at the Stadion Tehelne Pole to set up a repeat of the 2009 showpiece which did not go to plan for England. On that occasion, Germany ran out 4-0 winners and today’s showdown is the third time they have reached the U21s final in the last four tournaments.
