Fans of the BBC soap opera were quick to express their dislike of the relationship, with one user writing: “Always jarred a bit for me – the storylines about Peach, the fostering, Britney etc were good, but as a couple they felt a bit flung together. Which was probably the point IDK.”
Another agreed, penning: “Yeah, I felt the same. I wasn’t keen on them as a couple (despite them both producing some good work together) and felt they weren’t a match, either personality or chemistry-wise.
“But this was by design and what they wanted to portray (given that Shona has known she was going for most – if not all – of that time).”
