HMRC has now published the latest list naming and shaming deliberate tax defaulters across the UK, including eleven people and businesses registered in east London.
The details shared online relate to those people or businesses that have made deliberate errors in their tax returns, or that have deliberately failed to comply with tax obligations.
Penalties are enforced when deliberate errors are found to have been made on tax obligations where the loss exceeds £25,000.
Those named and shamed have been penalised under civil procedures.
Brian Kenneth Wren has been investigated by HMRC and has been charged penalties after he was discovered to have defaulted on tax between April 2012 and April 2018.
The company director was formerly registered to three addresses in Havering.
These include 53 Christchurch Avenue, Rainham, 5 Castellan Avenue, Romford, and 17 Burges Close, Hornchurch.
Between April 6, 2012, and April 5, 2018, Mr Wren was found to have defaulted on £568,515.30 of tax, thus incurring a penalty of £270,044.74.
A catering and event management company with former addresses in Hornchurch and on the Isle of Dogs was penalised for errors across a number of years.
Premier Signature London Ltd was identified as having made deliberate errors on tax equating to £342,990.84 between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2022.
The business had former links to 1 Peerage Way, Hornchurch, and Suite 6, Scott House, Admirals Way, Isle of Dogs.
It was given a penalty of £204,079.52.
A scrap metal broker that was also formerly addressed in Admirals Way has incurred a penalty of £943,102.30.
It comes after issues with tax returns from DXB Wholesale Ltd, formerly of Suite 6, Beaufort Court, Admirals Way, were flagged from between April 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
The penalty relates to errors on tax worth £1,347,289.
DXB Wholesale Ltd was also formerly addressed to 18 Lace Gardens, Nottingham.
R Foods Ltd was among the deliberate tax defaulters named by HMRC.
The takeaway was formerly registered to 282 Barking Road, East Ham.
According to HMRC, the deliberate errors were found to have been made between May 1, 2020, and January 31, 2024.
R Foods Ltd was charged a penalty of £58,409.55 due to the issues on tax worth £112,798.
Nosorog Construction Ltd was found to have defaulted on tax worth £108,555.67 between April 6, 2022, and April 5, 2024.
The construction company has three former addresses, including to 67 Warwick Road E15, 18 Golders Green Road NW11, and Unit 9, Swan Meadow Road, Wigan.
HMRC enforced a penalty of £66,490.34.
A labour agency with a previous link to Manor Park has also been caught out for defaulting on tax.
Highend London Ltd, previously Mac Singh Service Limited Ltd, has a record of former addresses at 18 Little Ilford Lane E12, and 30 Swan Road, Southall.
HMRC discovered defaults on £35,370.30 of tax between April 6, 2023, and April 5, 2024, resulting in a penalty of £24,759.21.
Georgi Kirilov Traykov has been investigated and charged penalties after defaults were found on tax from rental income between April 6, 2015, and April 5, 2023.
HMRC imposed a penalty of £73,457.30 to the address of 40 Fairfield Road, Ilford.
Andrei Nechifiriuc has also been named as a deliberate tax defaulter.
Issues on tax worth £58,014 was discovered to have been made between April 6, 2021, and April 5, 2024.
The construction worker, registered to 20 Aberdour Road, Ilford, was registered to a former address at 10 Chatsworth Crescent, Hounslow.
A penalty of £39,594.54 has been enforced.
Kiyomi Contracting UK Limited has received a penalty of £45,392.61 from HMRC after defaulting on £68,259.60 of tax between a number of dates.
The construction company, registered to 828 Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow, was found to have made deliberate errors between May 1, 2022, and July 31, 2022, between June 1, 2023, and August 31, 2023, and March 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024.
K’s Jerk Hut Limited (trading as ‘Kingston Jerk Hut’) has been named and shamed among east London tax defaulters.
It comes after HMRC found issues with tax worth £36,444.72 between December 1, 2018, and March 31, 2023.
The takeaway, addressed to 114 Upper Clapton Road, Clapton, had a former address at 125 Roman Road, Bethnal Green.
It has received a penalty of £24,144.62.

Eunice Ebunoluwa Orihu, of 76 Bellevue Road, Collier Row, has been investigated and penalised for defaulting on tax between April 6, 2017, and April 5, 2023.
The errors were made on £48,501.20 of tax generated from property income, incurring a penalty of £30,145.91.
Orihu was previously addressed to 3 Longhayes Court, Chadwell Heath.
