Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to Dawlish Road shortly before 11pm on Sunday (June 8).
The man, 55, was found injured and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
At the time, his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, but the Metropolitan Police said it “may be life-changing”.
However, a spokesperson has said in an update that his injuries are non-life threatening and non-life changing.
He has since self-discharged himself from hospital.
There have been no arrests at this time, although investigations are ongoing.
