Inspector Holliday has authorised a Section 35 Dispersal Zone to be brought to the Broad Green and Fairfield wards.
The order allows officers to take action to prevent issues in the area by granting them the power to remove people from the public space for up to 48 hours.
The dispersal zone came into effect at 1pm on March 6 and will end at 9pm this evening (March 7).
According to the Metropolitan Police, it comes in response to a ground of school-aged teenagers repeatedly engaging in behaviour that is “causing distress to the public”.
