Collections due on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) will be picked up two days later, on Saturday, December 27.
Collections scheduled for Boxing Day (Friday, December 26) will take place three days later, on Monday, December 29.
Collections due on Monday, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30 will be made one day later than normal.
Collections on Wednesday, December 31, Thursday, January 1 and Friday, January 2 will be made two days later than the normal scheduled day.
Collections scheduled for Friday, January 2 will take place three days later, while those due from Monday, January 5 to Friday, January 9 will be collected one day later. Normal collection schedules will resume from Monday, January 12 2026.
Croydon Council is also running a Christmas tree disposal service from Monday, January 5 to Friday, January 16.
Residents should put their trees out by 6am on January 5, ensuring all decorations are removed and the tree has been taken out of its pot.
It will be collected as soon as the council is able, from that date onwards Genuine Christmas trees can also be recycled free of charge at the borough’s household reuse and recycling centres, of which Croydon has three.
They are:
- Factory Lane, West Croydon CR0 3RL
- Fishers Farm, North Downs Road, New Addington CR0 0LB
- Purley Oaks, Brighton Road, South Croydon CR8 2BG
Residents using Croydon’s garden waste collection service can also cut their trees into smaller pieces and place them in their garden waste bin.
