The candlelight vigil took place at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chigwell, organised by temple volunteers.
It was attended by Epping Forest District Council chairman Cllr Louise Mead, along with councillors Darshan Sunger, Smruti Patel, and Faiza Rizvi.

Ravi Bhanot MBE, a pharmacist and ayurvedic medicine consultant, took part in the ceremony.
He said: “It was a solemn candlelight vigil bringing together senior delegates, faith leaders and the wider community to pay tribute, offer prayers, and stand in solidarity.
“Through moving speeches and heartfelt moments of silence, the victims and their families were remembered – but also their lives, dreams, and families. In the face of heartbreak, unity shone brightly.
“Let us continue to pray for the departed souls and their grieving families. May peace and strength prevail in every heart.”
