Results have been mixed in the Blues’ last three matches, with defeats to Arsenal and Fulham coming either side of a five-goal rout of Charlton in the FA Cup third round.
New head coach Liam Rosenior will be hoping to get back to winning ways here as he faces on-form Brentford in just his third match in the Blues’ dugout.
The Bees have cracked the top five after going on an impressive five-match unbeaten run in the league, but Chelsea, winless in league play since December 13, 2025, could knock them off their perch with three points.
Andrews has far outperformed expectations this season and has really hit his stride of late, beating Sunderland 3-0 after putting four goals past both Everton and Bournemouth.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Chelsea vs Brentford is scheduled for a 3pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
The match will take place at Stamford Bridge in west London.

Chelsea vs Brentford team news
It remains to be seen whether Liam Rosenior will have Cole Palmer, Reece James, or Malo Gusto at his disposal, with all three thought to be having their minutes managed. Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwill, meanwhile, remain long-term absentees.
Both Jordan Henderson and Dango Ouattara are doubts for the match.
England veteran Henderson picked up a knock and was withdrawn early from last weekend’s FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday, while Ouattara is recovering after returning from AFCON.
Of Ouattara, Andrews said: “I’ve given him an extra couple of days off because he’s been pretty full on in his endeavours with Burkina Faso. We’ll get him back in and involved ahead of the Chelsea game.”
Elsewhere, Antoni Milambo, Josh Dasilva, and Fabio Carvalho are returning from long-term injuries.

Chelsea vs Brentford prediction
Liam Rosenior has made a decent start to life at Chelsea, but faces another tricky test as he makes his managerial Premier League debut.
The Blues have clearly taken to his tactical philosophy and have a grand opportunity to climb the table here.
This Brentford side have proven their ability to keep pace with the league’s best sides, but we expect Chelsea to put a stop to their unbeaten run.
Head to head (h2h) history and results
Brentford have only managed to beat Chelsea once in the past four years. In the reverse of Saturday’s fixture in August, Carvalho scored deep in added time to nick the Bees a 2-2 draw.
