The incident in Chapel Close was reported to police at 12.44pm on December 3 as a crash involving a car and pedestrians.
At the scene, a 34-year-old man was found injured and was pronounced dead a short while later.
He has been named as Ruben Nunes from Peterborough, and his family are receiving support from specialist officers.

Shakaine Dwyer, 29, of Willesden, was charged today (December 7) with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on December 8.

A 32-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on December 4 has since been bailed as enquiries continue.
Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and those with any information or dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident, including the period before and after the collision.
