Police officers were called to the junction between the Brownhill Road section of the South Circular A205 and Torridon Road around 9.30am today (January 24).
The baby did not suffer any life-changing injuries.
The road was closed for around an hour, with Transport for London reporting that police were on the scene directing the flow of traffic.
The AA reported at the time: “Road closed and queueing traffic due to crash on A205 South Circular both ways between Torridon Road and Ardgowan Road.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Around 09:30hrs on Friday, 24 January, officers were called to the junction between Brownhill Road and Torridon Road, SE6, after an unmarked police car collided with another car. A baby was hospitalised, though they did not suffer any life-changing injuries.”
The London Ambulance Service was contacted for comment but said it could not find the incident in its logs.
