AVA Grill will open from 222 South Street, having been in the works for more than two years.
The first mention of the venue dates back to September 2023, when a post was shared to an Instagram account under the name of @avagrill.ldn.
222 South Street is a well-known address in the town, having previously been occupied by Smokey’s Shake Shack and before that, The Brickyard.
AVA Grill’s manager Aziz Choudhury revealed to this paper on October 8 that minor works were being completed in the hopes for a November launch.
He said: “It has been closed for so long, it needed a lot of investment in that place.

“All this time this was a steakhouse. If you go back to Smokey’s Shack and The Brickyard, it always was a steakhouse so we didn’t want to change the concept.”
He has since shared that the steak and grill restaurant will open on November 24 with a soft launch.
Sneak peeks inside the venue have now been shared to its social media page, providing glimpses of marble floors, low lighting and faux ceiling flowers.
It is on the site of a proposed Havering Mosque, which is being earmarked by Havering Islamic Cultural Centre.
