Athletic Club, though, have just one loss in the same period, a 1-0 away defeat at Real Madrid in late April. Unlike United, who are reliant on the Europa League to qualify for next year’s Champions League, Athletic Club currently sit fourth in La Liga, comfortably within the qualification places. They will not be short on motivation, though, as they push for a first European trophy.
