Paramedics were called to Adelina Grove, off Sidney Street, around 1pm today (March 1).
The nature of the incident has not been detailed by the emergency services.
A man was treated at the scene before being taken to a London hospital.
Images shared on social media show the police as also present, with a cordon closing off Adelina Grove.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Mon 10) at 1.04pm to reports of an incident in Adelina Grove, E1.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
The Metropolitan Police was contacted but did not respond to the enquiry.
