Tracey Brazier’s daughter was walking Ralph, an 11-year-old Westie, in Abbey Road in Barking at around 9pm last Tuesday, November 4.
She was near the Nisa Local shop when two medium-sized off-lead dogs ran out of a gated park and began attacking Ralph, Tracey said.
“The dogs were completely out of control, chasing Ralph around a car, biting him and biting my daughter as she lifted Ralph off the floor.”
Ralph was rushed to the vets with numerous bite wounds and died the following morning.
Tracey, 52, said: “He was 11 but he was still so full of beans, people thought he was a puppy the way he ran around. We’re devastated.”

The police were informed the following day but Tracey has expressed concerns that the two dogs are still with their owners.
“What worries me is that this could have been a lot worse for my daughter, and it could have even happened to a kid,” she said.
“I’d ask the owners of the dogs to just please do the right thing and contact the police – don’t let this happen to anyone else – and to anyone who witnessed the attack or who might have footage please contact the police, even if it’s just anonymously.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, November 5, at 5pm police received a report of a dog attack alleged to have occurred the previous day on Abbey Road, Barking.
