For those seeking something a little different, the Dutch interactive installation DJ Frietmachine offers a quirky experience where visitors can “drop the beat” to create their own portion of fries using a DJ-powered system.
Street theatre will include Matt Pang’s Curiosity Christmas Tree, a roaming, bell-ringing tree full of mischief and festive cheer.
The Sonia Sabri Company will present Mughal Miniatures: The Elephant & The Drummer, an outdoor performance combining Kathak dance, physical theatre, and live music.
The story follows Elnaz the Elephant and Dholli the Drummer on a journey of self-discovery and body positivity, inspired by Indian and Persian miniature painting.
Miss Murphy’s Pantomime Ponies will bring “choreographed chaos” to Croydon’s streets with glittering costumes, audience participation, and playful improvisation.
Families can also take part in hands-on craft workshops at Croydon Clocktower, including Christmas rosette-making with Sam Nowell and Romani lucky horseshoes with Deborah Birch.
