Havering Christmas Land officially opened its doors on Friday (November 28), welcoming the first visitors to the enchanting outdoor lights trail at Harrow Lodge Park.
Run by mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham, the annual event sees the garden next to Harrow Lodge House decorated with thousands of lights and Christmas scenes.

This year, as well as an inflatable Grinch – and his dog Max – visitors could marvel at a towering Jack Skellington from Tim Burton film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The archway made out of twinkling lights returned for 2025, as did the gingerbread lights which made for great photo opportunities.

Santa also opened his grotto on Friday, with nine-week-old Arabella and one-year-old Aiden among the first to meet the big man and receive their presents.
Havering Christmas Land welcomes more than 30,000 visitors in 2024, and organisers hope this year will be “bigger and better” than ever.

This year, Havering Christmas Land is also hosting its first ever “Dasher’s outdoor disco”, complete with a DJ, Christmas games, giveaways and mascots.
Tickets for the lights trail are £5 per person – except for under 2s who go free – with all money raised going towards Mind’s work across Havering, Barking and Dagenham.
General admission entry is across a number of dates until January 2, while two SEN friendly sessions will be held on December 1 and 8, and a dog friendly night on December 2.
