The festive event, on November 16, will feature a headline performance from Britain’s Got Talent winner and West End star Sydnie Christmas, culminating in a firework finale.
The festivities will start inside The Glades from 1pm to 2pm before shifting to Bromley High Street for an afternoon and evening of free entertainment and family fun.
The high street Christmas extravaganza is set to run from 2pm to 6.30pm.
There will be a full line-up of live on-stage entertainment, roaming street performers, and special appearances from stars such as Su Pollard and young ventriloquist Jamie Leahey, who was runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent 2022.
For those wanting to indulge their festive appetites, a Christmas market will be set up with a bar, food stalls, a big wheel, and a helter-skelter.
The main stage, located at the top of the pedestrianised area, will host a variety of school choirs and local dance groups.
Visitors can also enjoy performances from the barbershop harmony group The Ketones, a five-piece band called Whiskey & Wine, and the dazzling LED Drummers.
The highlight of the event will be a live performance from Sydnie Christmas, who will then join special guests to lead the countdown to the switch-on of the town’s 30ft Christmas tree.
The evening will end with a firework finale.
Sydnie said: “I can’t wait to come to Bromley and switch on the town’s Christmas lights on November 16; the town is close to my heart.
“I used to spend a lot of time with my friends there, especially at the Churchill Theatre.
“The Churchill was actually one of the first theatres I performed at as a child.
“I’m looking forward to singing some Christmas numbers to get everyone in a festive mood.”
The event is funded and organised by ‘Your Bromley’, the town centre business community, with additional support from The Churchill Theatre, The Glades, and The Royal Bell.
Residents from across the borough and beyond are encouraged to attend and kick off the festive season in style.
