Councillor Eddie Hanson, mayor of Camden, visited the London and North Western Railway Company War Memorial outside Euston Station and the Prisoner of War Second World War Memorial at Mornington Crescent as part of the borough’s Remembrance events.
Cllr Hanson said: “We remember everyone who has been affected by war – those who serve or have served in our armed forces and those who have died or been displaced due to conflict.
“I’ll be praying for peace in the world, and as many people in Camden from all backgrounds come together in acts of remembrance, thinking about the importance of remaining united and together in our communities in Camden.”

He was joined by deputy mayor Cllr Tricia Leman at the commemorative events, which form part of Camden’s wider Remembrance observations.
Councillors Hanson and Leman have been representing the borough at these commemorations throughout November.
Their involvement forms part of Camden’s wider Remembrance activities, which bring together residents of all backgrounds to remember the past and reaffirm the value of unity.
