Manchester City and Liverpool bid to take advantage of Arsenal’s slip-up against Sunderland when they meet in a huge game at Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal conceded a 94th-minute equaliser to draw to 2-2 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, and both clubs can close the gap to the Premier League leaders.
City can move four points behind Arsenal with a win, while Liverpool can move to within five points of Mikel Arteta’s side.

Nico Gonzalez is expected to deputise for the Spaniard in central midfield once again with Mateo Kovacic a long-term absentee.
Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki are pushing for recalls to the starting XI after being rested for the Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund, while in-form Erling Haaland will lead the line.
That said, Isak is likely to be named on the bench if he is able to feature at the Etihad Stadium at all as Arne Slot could stick with the team that beat Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Questions marks still remain over Liverpool despite back-to-back wins as their away form in the league is a concern. At the same time City are beginning to click and it’s difficult to look past Haaland continuing his excellent goalscoring form.

Liverpool won both meetings last season en route to dethroning Man City as Premier League champions. Victory at the Etihad was a first for the Reds in the league since 2015.
