However, it is difficult to predict what Reds team will turn up as despite winning their last two matches at Anfield, they have lost their last three away games in the Premier League – albeit all in London.
City, meanwhile, are unbeaten at home since August and are bidding to add the icing on the cake to a perfect week by winning three games on the bounce and dent Liverpool’s title hopes in the process.

Man City vs Liverpool team news
Nico Gonzalez is expected to deputise for the Spaniard in central midfield once again with Mateo Kovacic a long-term absentee.
Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki are pushing for recalls to the starting XI after being rested for the Champions League tie, while in-form Erling Haaland is expected to lead the line.
That said, Isak is likely to be named on the bench if he is able to feature at the Etihad Stadium at all as Arne Slot could stick with the team that beat Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
This would mean another start for summer signing Florian Wirtz on the left-hand side of the attack in place of Cody Gakpo.

Man City vs Liverpool prediction
While the outcome of Arsenal’s game against Sunderland on Saturday will have a big impact heading into this fixture, both Man City and Liverpool will view this as a must-win fixture regardless.
Questions marks still remain over Liverpool despite back-to-back wins as their away form in the league is a concern. At the same time City are beginning to click and it’s difficult to look past Haaland continuing his excellent goalscoring form.
Head to head (h2h) history and results
Liverpool won both meetings last season en route to dethroning Man City as Premier League champions. Victory at the Etihad was a first for the Reds in the league since 2015.
