On a recent visit to The Palms Hotel along Southend Arterial Road we were given a look at a new space that is taking shape at the site.
It comes after the hotel celebrated the launch of restaurant Boka in August.
The Mediterranean-inspired eatery is operating from the hotel, serving cocktails, steak and grilled dishes.

From the restaurant floor, our reporter was shown through two sets of doors leading into this new space.
The events space features modern polished stone flooring, with overhead spotlights dotted around and sparkly chandeliers hung from the ceiling.
In the left hand corner as you enter the room, what will be a stone top bar with gold accents is in place in front of a decorative feature wall.

A separate entrance into the space was spotted diagonally across from the internal entrance, situated next to tall windows providing a view of outside.

It is understood that it will be used by both The Palms and Boka.
The room can be identified on map diagrams provided in past planning applications to Havering Council, including one dating back to April where the space was unlabelled.
We reached out to The Palms Hotel for a comment.
