Police were called to a park area close to High Road today (October 9) at 5.03pm to reports of a shooting.
At the scene, a male victim whose age has not been specified was found with an injury to his abdomen.
He has been taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
A crime scene is in place and people near New Southgate can expect to see an increased policing presence.
Enquires are ongoing during this “very early stage of the investigation”.
