Nick Lawrence battled it out with 39 other studio contestants – and players at home – on episode four of Win Win with People’s Postcode Lottery to walk away with a £29,000 caravan.
Presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, the show allows winners to take home prizes ranging from luxury holidays to cars and experiences, or to trade their prize for a shot at the £1 million jackpot.
Nick told the Recorder that when he won the caravan he thought of his children and knew he could “not give it up, even for a chance to win that much money”.

“Me and my family go on caravan holidays anyway all the time, and it was absolutely stunning,” the 45-year-old said.
“To be able to have our own caravan is a dream come true, really.
“I’ve got twin boys that are 9, and my other boy’s 12, so it’s literally perfect age for these boys – they can go out and go on adventures.
“The memories that you have are priceless.”
Nick bagged the caravan after a head-to-head round where he was asked to rank the nation’s top ten best things about attending a wedding.
He picked “being part of someone’s big day” as the top answer, and said he “couldn’t believe it” when he won straight away.
The security officer kept the win a secret from his children at first so he could watch the episode back with his family after – and they were “so surprised” when he won, Nick added.
He said: “Last year as well, one of my twins was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
“We’ve had a really rough year this year, and he’s been adapting to his new lifestyle.
“I think that it was just a big uplift for the whole family, really.
“We needed this little win.”

In terms of destinations, they could go “anywhere” – but Nick has his sights set on the New Forest, Cornwall or Yarmouth.
“Somewhere with a bit of sun, a couple of hot doughnuts, you know? I absolutely cannot wait,” he said.
The final episode of Win Win with People’s Postcode Lottery airs this Saturday (October 11) at 7.35pm on ITV.
