Local police officers carried out a stop-and-search on two boys while on patrol in Prior Road around 4pm yesterday (July 6).
Two knives were allegedly found and seized by police.

The teenagers were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
The 16-year-old was charged with possession of an offensive weapon the next day and is due at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 14.
The 14-year-old boy was released without charge.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Sunday, 6 July at around 16:00hrs, local officers stopped and searched two boys while out on a proactive patrol on Prior Road, Ilford.
“Two knives were found on one of the boys and seized by police.
“The two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested at the scene for possession of an offensive weapon.
“The 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of an offensive weapon on Monday, 7 July.
“He is due to attend Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 14 July.
“The other boy that was arrested was released without charge.”
