A burst pipe has left thousands of homes without water in Croydon.
The pipe, located at Mitcham Common, caused issues with the Croydon boosters, impacting residents in the CR0, CR2, CR4, CR7, and SW16 postcodes.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: “We’re sorry that your tap water isn’t flowing properly at the moment because of this.
“We’re working hard on site to isolate the broken pipe and returning the water supply to the area.
“We’ve also got water tankers in the area to push water into the pipe network and get your taps flowing again.
“We know how disruptive it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.”
Thames Water said they will provide an update by 11am.
If water cannot be returned to all customers within 12 hours, alternative provisions will be made.
