The incident took place at about 3.50pm on Thursday, February 20, in Canons Brook, when the downstairs window of a home was smashed.
Police say three people arrived in a white van, caused the damage and then left the scene.
The suspects may have been carrying weapons at the time of the incident.
No arrests have been made, and officers are currently exploring various lines of inquiry in connection with the case.
Essex Police are now appealing for the public’s help.
They are urging anyone who may have witnessed a white van acting suspiciously in the area or has CCTV, doorbell, or dash cam footage from around the time of the incident to come forward.
