The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is hosting a Liver Ball on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at The Manor of Groves Hotel in Sawbridgeworth.
The event, organised by the gastroenterology department, aims to raise funds for early diagnosis of liver disease.
Tickets are priced at £75 per person, with the event including a three-course meal, disco, and complimentary drink.
There will also be an auction and raffle with prizes including an overnight stay at The Manor of Groves Hotel, a professional photoshoot, afternoon tea for two, and a hair and beauty voucher.
The appeal, led by consultant gastroenterologist Dr Deb Ghosh, aims to raise £100,000 for a Fibroscanner, a specialist piece of equipment for fast, painless, and non-invasive liver examinations.
Dr Ghosh said: “We are very excited to launch the sale of tickets for our Liver Ball, and begin our appeal to raise vital funds needed for this piece of specialist equipment, that will transform the care we can provide to patients with liver disease and related conditions.”
