Inoue is the overwhelming favourite to inflict one of his signature fearsome knockouts on Kim, a late replacement opponent who stepped up on just two weeks’ notice.
Sam Goodman had been the original next challenger for Inoue, only for a cut above his eye sustained during sparring to cause the postponement of their contest scheduled for Christmas Eve.
That cut later opened back up to also force the cancellation of the new date, leading to Kim getting the call for one of the very toughest challenges that the sport of boxing has to offer.
