The Epping Ongar Lights Express, a festive version of the Epping Ongar Railway heritage line, takes passengers on an “incredible light show” between November and January each year.
The train, which runs from Ongar to Epping and back, features thousands of coloured LED lights, which can be seen from the sky.
Drone photos taken by Darren Sidey show the neon lights zig-zagging across the top of the train, as well as Christmas lights around the station.
The “magical” Lights Express has even featured on ITV’s Good Morning Britain programme.
Inside the train, the light show continues as each passenger gets their own interactive LED wristband – which is synchronised to the music played.
The experience features the “Voiceover Man” from Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor, as well as a festive music mix and a board game.
There is also the chance to buy hot and cold refreshments before boarding the train.
Lasting 90 minutes in total, the Epping Ongar Lights Express is running until January 12, with limited availability in the run up to Christmas.
