‘The battle of Britain’ will be the latest instalment in a long history of clashes between English and Scottish sides in European competition, with this fixture argubaly taking place at the worst possible time for the visitors.
Ange Postecoglou‘s side are without a win in four games across all competitions – including Europa League outings against Galatasaray and Roma – have lost their last two in a row and will be without several key players due to injury.
As for Rangers, they’re unbeaten in eight and have recorded some impressive results along the way. Most notably a 4-1 win over Nice away from home on matchday five last month.
Both sides are locked on 10 points ahead of kick-off and a win for either will see them take a massive step towards sealing a place in the last 16.

Rangers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, but they will be without Neraysho Kasanwirjo, Tom Lawrence, Oscar Cortes and Rabbi Matondo. Meanwhile Danilo and Ianis Hagi are ineligible due to not being named in the Europa League squad for this stage of the competition.
Spurs are set to be without the injured quintet of Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies. However, Brennan Johnson and Micky van de Ven could be available despite being substituted in the 4-3 loss against Chelsea at the weekend.

The form guide points to a home win. Rangers are on a good run at the moment whilst Spurs are not. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the north London outfit turned up for the big occasion just like they have done against both Manchester clubs this season.
By no means is it a must-win game for Tottenham but there’s a good chance they stop the rot.
